Vicky Kepple has owned and ridden horses for over twenty years. Her passion for horses began at the early age of 5, but it wasn't until 25 years later that her dream became a reality in the form of two Morgan horses, a mare and a gelding by the names of Cassandra and Wild Fire. At that time, she also attended SIU where she took Equine Science classes, and her interest in the English discipline of Dressage was also born. She became a member of the local Centerline Dressage Club and the national United States Dressage Federation. Not long after that, a third horse joined her equine collection, a Thoroughbred gelding by the name of Gulf Prince. With Prince she continued her dressage education and training, taking private lessons and auditing or participating in clinics locally as well as traveling to Indiana, Kentucky, and Georgia. In 2001, she acquired her dressage schoolmaster, Sir Lancelot, a Trakenher gelding, from Alberta, Canada.
In 2005 Vicky was introduced to natural horsemanship through Pat and Linda Parelli. Through their program and the video tutelage of a 5 star Parelli instructor, she successfully passed her Level I Online and Under Saddle Assessments. She then had the opportunity to attend two 2-week courses at the Parelli Ranch in Ocala, Florida. There she successfully passed her Level II Online Assessment. She now continues her education in Parelli natural horsemanship with her newest horse, Hylite, a Canadian Trakehner.
Vicky gives lessons to her granddaughter and is now accepting new students to her teaching program and summer horse camps!
